It's been a long time since I've been able to just drive off late at night on a whim. For those who don't know, I was homeless for a long while. But I finally have a car now, and I wanted to go out last night when I got really hungry. Back when I was with my ex, before COVID, I used to be able to go out at night and find something to eat. Last night was the first time I tried to do that post-COVID, and it was actually frightening.
Walmarts are no longer 24 hours. Taco Bell doesn't stay open late for fourthmeal anymore. Nothing--I mean absolutely, positively NOTHING--was open anywhere in sight. I drove through two counties and couldn't find a single thing.
I heard on the Alex Jones Show yesterday about all the economic power being shifted over to China, and the US is slowly entering second-world status with everyone in the country being in denial about it. I wasn't sure if I believed that...
But after last night, I'm fearing our destination as a country even more.
